Sweet, juicy, full-bodied flavors of dark cherry and currant makes this a crowd pleaser going in, or down, as the case may be. Oak vanillin and tobacco bring additionally attractive elements to the flavor profile. Primary juiciness- dominated by flavors of dried cherry and cranberry. Hints of sealing wax introduce a fascinating, penetrating, and rather mature note. Only 300 cases produced.

Wine displays lightly-configured cherry and red raspberry tinged with licorice, black tea, nutmeg, and hints of bittersweet floral perfume, all of which carry into a sappy and satisfyingly persistent finish. With excellent integration of fine tannins and completely benign alcohol, this should keep well for at least half a dozen years. WA 90 pts.
Bittersweet inner-mouth floral suggestions add allure and this finishes with satisfying juiciness . Features dried cherry and cranberry in a tart-edged; noticeably if finely tannic; and relatively delicate performance. WA 89pts.
Candied cherry, herbal essences and sassafras root are the key notes. Crunch of berry seed, piquancy of fruit pit, herbal pungency, and a lick of salt all serve for invigoration in the finish of a, for its vintage, surprisingly lean and vivacious Pinot. The tannins here are well-sublimated and a suggestion of veal stock adds mouthwatering and welcome enrichment as this opens to the air. WA 90 pts.
Ripe cherry and raspberry mingle with scents of game, dried herbs, and rose hip in the nose. Surprisingly lean and bright for its vintage, this finishes with tenacious, sappy persistence and plenty of interest. WA 90 pts.
Winemaker notes: this wine has one of the prettiest noses of all of the 2009’s. Beginning with ripe strawberry and evolving to elegant raspberry notes with spice components.
Berries and balance, featuring baked cherry pie overlaid with aromas of lavender and rose. An elegant wine exuding youthful enticements that say you can drink me now or you can spirit me away to the cellar. WA 90 pts. Grenadine and sour cherry scent and concentrated flavor. Displays vivacious juiciness and surprising cut for its vintage, while betraying no heat or roughness.
114 cases bottled IWC 90 pts. 12/12/2008. Deep -Dark red. Complex aromatics. Spicy red fruits, cedar and hint of pepper lead to a structured wine with plenty of layers. Red currant and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestion of spicecake, anise and white pepper. Juicy and focused, offering zesty red fruit flavors that take a turn to deeper cherry with air. . A firm spine of acidy adds cut to a persistent and subtly sweet finish. Our first bottling designated from the family vineyard at the winery, and in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The wine from past vintages has been included in the Reserve and Deano’s barrel selections since 1995.

Lively and precise on the palate, offering gently sweet red fruit flavors and a hint of rooty sassafras. Finishes with good clarity and spicy length. This would pair well with lighter poultry dishes, or grilled salmon or tuna.

From one of the Willamette Valley’s oldest vineyard sites in the Dundee Hills. It is loaded with luscious fresh pear and melon; silken in texture; and while not enormously complex, nevertheless subtly enhanced by leesy notes and impressively lingering. WA 89 pts.
The light red color of this complex Rose’ catches glints of the summer sun and holds them just for you. Signature Pinot Noir flavors of strawberry, cranberry with a bit of earthiness and even a bit of spice on the long, dry finish. The wine is perfectly balanced with a very playful acids and a nice viscosity that’s creamy without being heavy in the mouth. A rose of this sort is only undertaken in certain vintages.

Vivid red. Dark cherry, anise and mocha on the nose. Lush and creamy, with dusty tannins adding grip to the deep dark fruit flavors. Picks up dark chocolate and musky herb character with air but maintains its sweet fruit character, finishing on a note of cherry-cola. A deep, rich rendition of pinot, with the strength to pair with grilled red meats.

Light to medium ruby red with an attractive perfume of smoke, cinnamon, clove, rose petal and cherry. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and savory red fruits. Spice and pepper tones give way to a warm vanilla brown sugar tones with air. Lively long and energetic finish with nice back end cut.
A chunky offering with a straightforward nose of spice box and red fruits. On the palate this wine displays ample tasty fruit, nice structure and moderate length.
Reveals aromatic complexity and juicy dark fruits. This ripe, balanced effort with sexy berry and floral dominated bouquet shows a spicy quality and a hint of wood smoke. Supple, juicy, nicely focused dark berry essence are given a firm edge by a touch of chocolate and repeats the smoky note on the back half. You get the best of both worlds with this wine! We aged this wine partially in stainless steel and the other half in oak barrels. The crisp green apple and citrus tones from the stainless and the buttery caramel tones from the French and Oregon Oak. Delightful and not overpowering. Reveals spicy butterscotch aromas as well as flavors. Medium-bodied and satin textured. Structured enough to stand alone or enjoy with your favorite plate.
Release April 2010. Limited Inventory :Tropical essence on the nose. Light bodied with gentle sweetness and just enough crisp green apple to balance. Displays hints of honey and caramel. Lovely dry finish. Refreshing! Very easy to enjoy with appetizers or save for dessert.
