Vivid red. Dark cherry, anise and mocha on the nose. Lush and creamy, with dusty tannins adding grip to the deep dark fruit flavors. Picks up dark chocolate and musky herb character with air but maintains its sweet fruit character, finishing on a note of cherry-cola. A deep, rich rendition of pinot, with the strength to pair with grilled red meats.

Finishes refreshingly brisk with the cherry note lingering with good authority.

Red currant and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestion of spicecake, anise and white pepper. Juicy and focused, offering zesty red fruit flavors that take a turn to deeper cherry with air. . A firm spine of acidy adds cut to a persistent and subtly sweet finish. Our first bottling designated from the family vineyard at the winery, and in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The wine from past vintages has been included in the Reserve and Deano’s barrel selections since 1995.
